New: the dataset now includes 2,128 company profiles and every supplied review record. See the methodology →

Step 03 of 4

Verified is a separate, explicit flag

"Listed" and "mapped" describe inclusion in the dataset. "Verified" is only shown when the source record explicitly marks a company or review as independently confirmed — commercial activity never changes this flag.

How It Works

The process behind this step

01
Listed vs. mapped vs. verified
Three distinct disclosure levels are tracked, and never blended into one badge or one score.
02
Source-explicit flag only
"Verified" only appears when the source record itself explicitly marks a company or review as independently confirmed.
03
Commercial activity is irrelevant
Applying, upgrading a listing, or contacting RankGlobal never changes a verification flag.
04
Flag travels with the record
If a review or profile field is unverified, that status is visible everywhere the data is shown — not only on a details page.
What this prevents
Implied endorsement without evidence
Paid verification badges
Confusing "listed" with "vetted"
